How fitting that the Quote of the Day on the ship refers to my previous post:
“Humans, not places, make memories.” – Ama Ata Aidoo
This very beautiful quote reminds me of something said by M’bake, a man from Africa known by me and Giulia and other friends while working for our school political collective. He was telling us his story, the story of his long journey, and, suddenly, he said: “I left behind me human beings, and what I found here is human beings again”.
Maybe you may think that it does not relate anything to your post, but I found a deep connection.
